It could be digital, or it could be social, like talking to our consumers one-to-one.”

Transforming Tobacco shapes Ashish’s role in a very real way. His insights are crucial to finding out what our consumers want: “My role is at the heart of our transformation. I generate insights specifically for Next Generation Products and the ways our consumers are adopting them. This role helps us to understand and respond to consumer preferences and understand what they might want in alternative products. The fundamental reason for me coming to BAT was the transformational opportunity. The nature of the product. The intimacy of the product with the consumer.”
