We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Investment Analyst to join our dynamic Btomorrow Ventures (BTV) team at our London headquarters (Globe House). As a key member of our investment team, you will be supporting the deal process from start to finish, including sourcing new prospects, running introduction meetings, conducting in-depth financial/technical/strategic analysis, and presenting the prospects to the Investment Committee.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to thought leadership and investment thesis materials aligned with Btomorrow Ventures’ mandate.
- Build and maintain internal and external networks to source and evaluate potential deals.
- Manage the investment pipeline tracker and support commercial, financial, and technical due diligence.
- Build financial models to assess company valuations, funding needs, and investment structures.
- Prepare investment cases and materials for review by the Investment Committee.
- Support origination activities, including conducting desktop research and attending industry events to form relationships across the start-up ecosystem and pipeline for investment opportunities.
- Support portfolio monitoring, strategic partnerships, and exit opportunity identification.
- Build presentations and manage relationships with portfolio companies and the wider investment community.
What are we looking for?
- 1-2yrs of experience from (Corporate) Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Strategy Consulting.
- Demonstrated curiosity about working with start-ups.
- Financial modelling understanding.
- Familiarity with VC process and key terms used in the negotiation and structuring of transactions.
- A self-starter able to operate with limited need for close supervision or mentorship.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
- Initiative-taking, proactive, and eager to take on new challenges
- Highly collaborative and contributes to effective teamwork and culture within BTV
