The Role:


An exciting opportunity has become available for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Finance team based in our Auckland head office. 


Reporting to the Marketing Finance Manager, you will assist to act as business partner to our Trade Marketing teams, providing support and financial recommendations to the business to help evaluate Marketing projects / initiatives and identify any ROI.  You will be responsible for the budget management of our Trade Marketing Investment, including managing the trade rebate payments and reconciliations. 


As Commercial Finance Analyst you will own the delivery of information feeding into regular and transparent financial reporting, including month end closing, as well as preparing monthly reporting and explaining variances in expenditure.  You will also be responsible for all Supply Chain Finance related planning and analysis, including balance sheet reconciliations


Throughout all aspects you will place a high level of focus on governance compliance and be responsible for the execution and management of applicable Sarbanes Oxley (“Sox”) controls. 


About You:


To make this role your own, you’ll have at least 3 years’ experience within a professional practice or commercial environment and preferably, either hold or be working towards a CA or equivalent qualification.  A strong working knowledge of SAP and MS Applications, particularly Excel, is essential.  Experience with Sarbanes Oxley processes and/or controls is desired.   With a strong financial accounting background, you’ll have advanced financial modeling skills and an ability to simplify and present complex situations and information.  Most of all, you’ll have strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills, with a proactive approach and be adaptable to a changing environment.
