SENIORITY LEVEL:                 Mid-Senior Level

SALARY RANGE:                     $115k - $135k NZD base salary + Bonus Scheme + Excellent benefits

LOCATION:                                Auckland, New Zealand 

REPORTS TO:                           Area Head of IDT

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

In this role, you will be a key member of Asia Pacific Area (“APA”) Information & Digital Technology (“IDT”) and New Zealand Marketing Activation Team.  You will be responsible for understanding business requirements and processes, digital technologies and techniques, identifying technology and/or process opportunities, and working with the business & IT to develop, implement and maintain solutions which deliver business value. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

 

  • Embedding the contribution IDT can make to business objectives using a range of techniques such as eliciting and documenting requirements, conducting feasibility studies, producing business models & business cases, analysing and evaluating usability requirements;
  • Leading analysis and subject matter expertise of platforms/projects/improvements for marketing in traditional channels as well as digital channels (encompassing eCommerce, CRM, Campaign Management, Social, SEO, data analytics);
  • Using business requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change request and lead project’s scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment;
  • End to end delivery of the digital portfolio, guaranteeing accomplishment of goals, schedule, cost, resources, quality and alignment with Global IDT Structures;
  • Identifying, selecting, and working with technology suppliers with the necessary capabilities to deliver digital portfolio, according to BAT’s procurement standards;
  • Regularly reviewing agreed digital key performance indicators including return on investment, suggesting improvements and seizing opportunities. 

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • A minimum business degree in an IT-related discipline, with business-facing IT experience in a global environment.
  • Prior experience as a Digital Business Analyst within an FMCG or digital marketing organisation.
  • Knowledge and experience across the key areas of marketing including route to market, trade marketing and distribution and digital marketing (eg SEO, customer segmentation, paid search, social media, paid media, email marketing, lead generation, database management, website optimisation, Campaign Management, eCommerce, Social, CRM and Analytics).
  • Creative thinking skills, and a proven ability to work in a matrix, fast-paced, environment. 
  • Strong facilitation and influencing skills. 
  • Consistent track record of successfully connecting marketing technologies.
  • A consistent record to build close working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

 

BENEFICIAL

  • Experience delivering through Traditional & Agile frameworks (eg Scrum, Kanban and Waterfall).
  • Professional certification in digital technologies (eg APIs, Cloud) and Agile Project Management (eg Scrum, PMI etc).
