BAT SRI LANKA IS LOOKING FOR AN ASSISTANT MANAGER – HR SERVICES & COMPLIANCE

SENIORITY LEVEL: Experienced Professional

FUNCTION: Human Resources

LOCATION: Colombo

 

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of Human Resources

The role is responsible to coordinate and ensure payroll and employee services activities are executed smoothly and compliance is ensured according to BAT and legal guidelines    

 

Reports to: Employee Services Manager – Sri Lanka

Reporting Level: Individual Contributor

Geographic Scope: Local

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Coordinate with HR Business Partners to ensure all employee lifecycle activities are captured in the monthly payroll
  • Building and sustaining relationships with all levels in order to efficiently drive people processes
  • Driving the Employee Services processes of Recruitment and On-boarding
  • Develop, Report and Track Total Employment Cost for the organization
  • Acting as the Single Point of Contact for Total Employment Cost and Headcount reporting for the both end market & above market
  • Compliance of Local Benefit Policies

  • External Payroll Outsourcing Team
  • End Market/ Above Market Finance Business Partnering Teams
  • Regional Teams – Global Business Services Teams

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Selected candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or professional qualification from a recognized educational institute
  • Should have at least 2+ years of experience in Employee Services/Payroll & Benefits
  • Good knowledge on Local Employment Law related to taxation and other benefits
  • Fluent in MS Excel, Outlook and related office packages
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent team working skills and experience in handling senior partners

  • Previous knowledge on HRIS and payroll packages will be an added advantage
