Main deliverables of the role/ project involvement:

  • Deployment of brand and trade cycle activities on time and in full
  • Accountable for volume / distribution efficiency / trade marketing targets within respective region
  • Manage the implementation of trade marketing plans in outlets through the management of merchandisers in order to achieve account brand, volume and share objectives.
  • Train, guide and motivate merchandisers in order that execution in retail outlets are world class
  • Manage the efficient distribution of cigarettes through the Distributor Distribution Representatives (DR) within respective territory.
  • Management of part-time runners and the implementation and growth of B2B (Business to Business) programs within the informal market.
  • Appointments and ongoing management of contracts with key business partners within respective territory to ensure associated KPI’s are achieved
  • Management of key account relationships, trading terms and investment in respective territory
  • Provide trade marketing information and reports to the Country Manager on an ongoing basis.
     

Travel involved

  • Yes within respective territory and to act as relief for other representatives while on leave

 

Essential requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within sales or marketing
  • Degree in Marketing or related course or equivalent
  • Strong computer Skills (word, excel, power point)
  • Good people management (previous experience in managing own or 3rd party teams)
  • Good communicationer, Self-motivated and able to work independantly
  • Sales Finance Knowledge
  • Customer Relationship Management
