Job Description

As an Operations IT Manager, you will help deliver our strategy of developing products that offer consumers potentially less risky alternatives to regular cigarettes, alongside our traditional tobacco business, from the Information Technology point of view.

This new vacancy is in our Groningen factory, Netherlands, close the Northern Sea.


About the role

Your knowledge and passion will help you manage IT estate and deliver end to end IT solutions in a unique factory producing various tobacco products other than cigarettes.

Working in close collaboration with the local Leadership Team, you will oversee the delivery of key IT projects, while ensuring the IT services are running smoothly. Not only that, your will also get in touch with our above market IT functions to land regional and global initiatives (like Global Service Desk, Global WAN, TPD) Therefore, our next colleague must have an excellent command of Dutch and English language.

You will also be invited to play part in the Western Europe IT Operations Team and share the best practices across the region and find new ways to improve the delivery of IT services in your local factory. To achieve this goal, the Regional team will work alongside you.

As the coordinator of the local IT budget, you will own the Local Service Catalogue throughout the quarterly review cycles and engage with local stakeholders to capture any new demands and projects.

During our tobacco transformation we are implementing critical projects that change how BAT works, so you will be involved from Day 1 in managing the local application lifecycle, especially acting as the 1st level escalation point and focus for any factory engagement activities.


About you

You are a qualified IT professional, with 3-5 years’ experience in a medium-large sized company with overall responsibility for IT-related function, ready for a change.
