BAT GBS FINANCE IS LOOKING FOR A REGIONAL PERFORMANCE MANAGER

SENIORITY LEVEL: Middle Management

FUNCTION: Finance

SALARY RANGE: Excellent benefits + market leading bonus

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Responsible for supporting the GBS hub management with all activities related to performance management through the managing and execution of the operating results and KPI’s analysis and review reporting as well as the budget planning. Collect, understand, analyze and provide the analytics and intelligence behind the data, connected to internal and external factors, to qualify the gaps and opportunities, focusing on improving the business performance within the GBS hub and leading automation and simplification initiatives related to performance management.

 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Lead and coordinate the monthly performance review cycle within the hub including coordination for operating rhythm and routines.
  • Work together with regional operational teams on identifying and analyzing deviations from targets, change in trends and clarifying root cause in the different levels of details.
  • Work closely with operational teams, Finance and HR BPs on all budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure hub budget is aligned to cycle plan and overall GBS Strategy.
  • Ongoing optimization of the performance management process continuously identifying areas for improvements in terms of time and quality.
  • Actively taking part in relevant projects within the hub in coordination with the Regional Portfolio and Innovation Leads.
  • Ensure accurate governance and documentation is in place for the whole performance management process/cycle within the GBS hub.
  • Provide monthly input and updates relating to GBS hub performance to the GBS Global Strategy and Performance Management team for the analysis and coordination for a global GBS view.
  • Provide support to the Regional Strategy and Performance Management lead in all activities related to Strategy and Performance Management.
  • Coordinating continuous improvement initiatives, with the purpose of activity simplification, automation and for the adoption of innovative ways to work (including investigation of practices used by other relevant comparator group companies and not only);
  • Suggesting and monitoring governance changes in the field of Data Quality and Integrity;
  • Actively searching for expansion and improvements in the business scope.

 

 

CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?

  • Lean Experience: Preferably exposure or involvement in Kaizen facilitation and execution process mapping, and ability to identify, prioritize, and implement continuous improvement ideas and initiatives.
  • Lean Green or Black Belt is an asset.
  • Knowledge of predictive analytics/Data visualization tools/data ingestion technologies/digital performance management tools: BI / Reporting tools such as: Tableau or MicroStrategy

 

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Preferably a Master Degree in Accounting & Finance
  • Cross-functional business experience to be able to interpret and corelate performance indicators at cross-functional/global level and further drive business insights
  • Experience in a global FMCG company/GBS environment or in a similar dynamic operational environment;
  • Service management, operational metrics and scorecards, and experience within a progressive global shared service operating model (preferred)
  • Consultative style – Ability to formulate and articulate a perspective and present it in a way to build understanding and alignment on issues (from strategy to tactics)
  • Good understanding of accounting policies and practices;
  • Capacity to implement financial knowledge and skills in an actual business environment;
  • Good practical knowledge of the financial reporting systems across the group (SAP Business Intelligence, SAP ECC and SAP business planning and consolidation);
  • Strong Presentation and Financial modelling skills
  • Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language to recognize to the global remit of this role
