ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

We are looking for an executive to join our UKI Finance Team for BAT UK. As a valued member of our team you will be responsible for providing proactive commercial insights and transparency of marketing decisions for both: pricing strategy and effective resource allocation across the value chain. You will have to drive commercially effective agenda, while being an active business partner and valuable support for end market leadership team.

Reports to: Senior Commercial Finance Manager

Geographic Scope: UK&I

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Lead and maintain the Gross Margin Model for combustibles & Modern White covering UK & Ireland for monthly budgeting exercise (SOP)
• Own the financial analysis of Trade investment and Customer Performance (TCI appraisals) and Customer Discounting budget management, particularly for lines involving key accounts – total customer investment. Including both tracking of actuals and modelling/forecasting variable lines each month
• Holistic management of end market pricing process
• Calculation of pricing conditions for Oral category
• Testing and checking prices. Pricing Cycles
• Managing pricing tools required across category and liaising with key accounts on account specific conditions
• EM Marketing Financials and KPIs, ensure implementation of new KPIs where appropriate to ensure transparent and relevant financial insights is provided to support commercial decisions
• Support in competitors reporting, pricing trackers and other cyclical regional/area requests, including regular industry review and highlighting the main insights.

• Do you have excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to work?

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Finance professional or MBA with proven experience within an FMCG organization.
• Solid commercial approach, understanding of all functions within a FMCG company.
• Knowledge and understanding of marketing principles and strategy, and market dynamics.
• Provider of financial insights regarding the impact of marketing strategies and marketing KPI’s setting and tracking using IT tool (such as Power BI, Excel etc)
• Experience of company planning and reporting process, including systems (SAP, BPC)
• Able to work with all levels of staff, both internal and external and ability to manage under pressure and cope with a changing environment
• Fluent English: excellent written and verbal communications
• Ability to influence others and get things done across different departments and functions
