PURPOSE STATEMENT:   

 

The Demand and Supply Executive

  • The role’s focus is to ensure continuous supply of goods to customer base and to manage and mitigate supply risks and issues with relevant stakeholders thereby contributing to meeting company targets.
  • reports to the Demand and Supply Manager and is responsible for monitoring the planned supply of Finished Goods (FMC/FC/NGP) stocks to ensure there are no out of stocks and that they are in line with agreed stocking policies, from the source factories to the UK, Ireland and Channel Islands.
  • ensures a timely, concise & accurate information flow between relevant functions/sites to aid decision making
  • demonstrates a pro-active & agile attitude and has proven problem-solving skills
  • acts as a “Super User”, possessing an ability to advise / direct others in a clear and concise manner
  • has the ability to navigate & operate within a fast paced and changing multi-category environment (NGP and Combustibles)

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

 

  1. Primary accountability for ensuring finished goods stocks are available to meet daily / monthly order requirements

 

  • Ensure all inventory items are available to meet daily dispatches to fulfil customer orders
  • Daily monitoring of sales, stocks and inbounds to ensure they are in line with the sales forecast and establish variances with SPI
  • Ensure inbound plans are prioritized when stocks are below safety levels and off-loading requirements are communicated to key stakeholders
  • Ensure stock holdings are in line with BAT UK&I stockholding policies
  • Ensure that stock holding breaches are detected early on, resolved with relevant stake holders and / or appropriate escalation triggered
  • Manage & communicate SKU transition plans with and to key stakeholders
  • Reporting of low stock issues, impact and remedial actions to wider business community
  • Support monthly KPI review (FFR, inventory health, DFA) by providing relevant input

 

  1. Primary accountability for stock management for secondary manufacturing SKU’s

 

  • Ensure that forecasts are aligned for rework SKU’s
  • Ensure placement of monthly FG orders in line with duty status stocks available
  • Ensure 3 month forecast plans are communicated to key stakeholders
  • Ensure all materials are available to meet forecast/production plans  

 

  1. Primary accountability for ensuring stocks dispatched meet the required product quality standard

 

  • Ensure Inventory held in the BAT warehouses is in line with BATUK&I Stock age policy
  • Manage all quality complaints through to final resolution
  • Manage Sample Processes & initial Quality checks for all NPI’s

 

  1. Primary accountability for ensuring monthly delivery of goods are in line with Finance monthly cashflow forecast 
  2. Involvement in projects such as TPD2019, stock builds, NPIs.
  3. Perform the role of SAP Key User for Demand and Supply primarily in relation to regression testing and documentation.
  4. Support the Demand and Supply Manager by developing creative solutions whilst maintaining a methodical approach to work; provide accurate & timely information in relation to audits by external bodies.

  • Previous experience in a FMCG Company
  • Knowledge of Tobacco / NGP Industry
