Purpose statement

The Fulfilment Executive is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the logistical flow of Finished Goods products (FMC, FC and PRRP) and inventory management for the Pre-Sales to independent stores within the RTM process.

 

Context/Environment

The trading environment of the tobacco & PRRP category is changing due to BAT’s agenda to transform tobacco, increased Trade specialisation, concentration of decision power, growth in internationalism and the increased use of technology. Being a multi-category business means that multiple sales channels need to be served, require different logistics processes and infrastructure and thus have multiple supply planning processes and stake holders to coordinate & manage.

 

Principal accountabilities

      • Primary accountability for ensuring all activities on the 3PL warehouse site meet BAT requirements, policies and standards
      • Primary accountability for ensuring the delivery of goods are completed by the 3PL accurately, safely and at lowest cost
      • Primary accountability for 3PL performance monitoring and reviews
      • Manage stock count activities with 3PL
      • Primary accountability for ensuring all Track & Trace activities adhere to policy guidelines, regression testing activities are completed on time and review of monthly reporting statistics
      • Perform the role of SAP Key User for Logistics, primarily in relation to regression testing and documentation. 
      • Support the Logistics Manager by ensuring that the relevant Business Continuity Plans are in place for key functions and that they are reviewed & tested as per the agreed schedule.
      • Support the Logistics Manager by providing a flexible approach and by supplying accurate and timely information in relation to audits by external bodies.
      • Day to day administrative duties including product accurate reporting and order processing
      • Demonstrate continuous improvement mind set and improve ways of working

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Logistics Operations/3PL/Warehouse Management
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Good understanding of Inventory/Warehouse management processes
  • Good numerical skills
  • Data analysis

 

Key Success Factors

  • Early identification and resolution of potential stock availability problems
  • Accurate direction / information given to 3PL to achieve performance targets
  • All customer delivery and collection queries resolved satisfactorily
  • Warehouse & Transport schedules in line with Service Level Agreements
  • Achievement of monthly deadlines for data submission and reporting
  • Accurate inventory management
