The role is within Central Finance, liaising with stakeholders across the organisation. The role directly supports key focus areas for the Group of Cash and Deleveraging.

 

Principal Accountabilities

Review, control and manage the delivery of Group targets for Operating Cash Flow Conversion (OCF%), Cash Generated From Operations (CGFO), Net Cash Flow and Net Debt / EBITDA. Work closely with Finance Leadership Team and Regional and Functional Finance teams to ensure delivery of the same. Deliver robust planning & reporting of Working Capital & Cash Flow via the Group’s financial systems (SAP, BPC).  

 

Manage and co-ordinate activities to:

  • Control and ensure delivery of accurate financial information on Working Capital, Capex, Cash Flow and Net Debt / EBITDA (Budgets, Forecasts and Actual results), in line with group accounting principles.
  • Provide clear and insightful inputs into Group Management Pack and presentations to senior forums (Corporate Finance Committee, Operations Committee, Management Board, Main Board) 
  • Liaise with Regional and Functional Finance teams and utilise insights to set stretching yet achievable targets and monitor progress against the same. 
  • Identify and assess opportunities for enhanced Cash Flow delivery and greater accuracy in forecasting. 
  • Manage and report progress on Cash Flow & Capital Effectiveness initiatives;
  • Develop and drive efficiency improvements, based on best practice and in line with group standardisation.
  • Ensure source systems data is complete and accurate and policies, procedure and accounting standards are adhered to. 
  • Ensure resource allocation decisions and group-neutral changes are appropriately reflected in Cash Flow Forecasts.  
  • Support the Head of Commercial Planning & Analysis, Group Finance Controller, Group Treasurer and CFO as required.
  • Manage a team of two FTEs (hosted remotely) with a high standard of performance management and leadership development. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience    

  • Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
  • Strong PQE, preferably in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment 
  • A thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically SAP / BPC
  • Excellent modelling and analytical skills
  • Previous exposure to Commercial Finance and/or a good understanding of Corporate Treasury would be an advantage
  • Strong business partnering skills and an ability to work effectively with all levels of staff within the company 
  • Strong people management skills, both those under direct and indirect control
  • Ability to work under pressure and keep to tight deadlines
