The Team

Being at the forefront of the business, the role of the Finance team is to ensure delivery of company plans, challenge the existing, and drive efficiencies and controls. In a fastmoving environment, it is essential that we have a hand on the steering wheel.

The excellent BAT Nordics Finance team is highly integrated with the Area Finance team in London and the Global Business Service Center (GBS) in Bucharest.  As our new colleague, you will be working with fellow passionate and capable finance professionals. The Position

You will be responsible for coordination of Finance in BAT’s Swedish commercial entity, BAT Sweden AB.

Main areas of responsibilities:

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual closing of financials
  • Supervise day-to-day finance processes in close cooperation with GBS
  • Forecasting and cash flow management
  • Annual statutory accounts and contact point for external auditors
  • Taxes and VAT
  • Finance KPI’s and controls
  • Embed Finance function in local organization, including maintaining close working relationship with Key Account, Trade and Brand teams
  • Onboarding of new employees of BAT Sweden to Finance world and processes and general Finance knowledge sharing
  • Projects and system implementations

 

Essential Requirements

You possess excellent finance and accounting skills, and you are a good communicator that can influence and bring about change, and safeguard Finance is regarded as a highly valuable function in the business.

Key skills needed:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA or similar)
  • Strong computer skills and proficient with MS Office/SAP ECC6/SAP BPC
  • 5+ years’ experience within a multinational environment is preferable
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good management and interpersonal skills
  • Professional level knowledge of modern accountancy and finance practices (IFRS)
  • Good knowledge of Swedish local accounting principles, tax and VAT legislation
  • Able to inspire, lead and develop colleagues
  • Team player, influencer and someone who can bring about good change
  • Ability to engage a non-Finance audience to drive strategic Finance agenda
  • Cope with working under pressure, deliver quality outputs and meet deadlines

 

As the ideal candidate you are passionate about finance, and up-to-date on the latest principles, legislation and best practices. You will quickly succeed in the role if you have strong analytical skills and are a strategic thinker, paring your finance background with the desire to make a difference.

Experience from the FMCG industry and fluency in Swedish is considered an advantage, but not a definite requirement.
