Principle accountabilities:

1. Backfill for Corporate Finance manager on Standard R2R (record to report) activities

  • BS Reconciliations, reviews and approvals
  • Month-end planning, communication and execution
  • Fixed Asset management (incl. asset counts, reviews, impairments)
  • Master data management (Cost centres and WBS elements, updating the approvers in the systems - SAP, SRM, E-flow, as per DoA
  • Blackline reconciliations
  • AP & AR cleanings


2. Support on recurring tax activities and French taxation

  • Assist in preparing Monthly declaration of VAT and Excise, incl. analysis and reconciliation.
  • Assist in preparing DEB, CET tax, DADS II, TVS tax
  • Coordination of French GAAP postings vs IFRS and reconciliations.
  • Management of foreign VAT reclaims
  • Assist tax department


3. Perform Local Statutory Reporting and support on Audit & controls

  • Manage delivery of information to external & internal auditors
  • Assist in preparing local statutory reports: French local statutory numbers
  • Support on monthly/quarterly SOX controls in the areas of R2R, O2C


4. Collaborate closely with business to provide high quality and timely information

  • Liaise with GBS to ensure delivery of information is on-time in full (OTIF)
  • Optimisation of local processes including quality assurance on all information sent to GBS
  • Perform On-site support to employees regarding invoices, POs and other ad hoc requests


Working relationships:

  • Strong coordination with Global Business Services (finance shared services) on all transactional activities: provide high quality, timely information.
  • Develop coordination skills across the teams in different end markets.
  • External service providers (e.g. banking, insurance, payroll, etc.) –high level supplier relationships 
  • External & Internal Auditors – provide information OTIF


Essential requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year’ experience in an accounting role (incl. VAT and reconciliation, Inventory reconciliation, Intercompany transactions and month-end closing processes)
  • French GAAP (Plan Comptable General) & IFRS knowledge
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and French
  • Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) in progress / qualified would be a plus.
  • Strong Financial Accounting & analytical skills
  • Actively seeking responsibility and is result driven
  • A thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically SAP and Excel 
  • Ability to work under pressure and keep to tight deadlines
