Job Description:

  • Lead and drive the implementation of Talent, Organisation development, Rewards & Employee Relations initiatives 
  • Contribute to the exploration, development and prioritization of HR policies and initiatives.
  • Develop local HR strategy and plans which will provide for an optimal contribution to the realization of area’s objectives, the local implementation of Global/Regional/Area initiatives and the localised application of central policies and frameworks.
  • Develop the HR organisation and resources to ensure ongoing capability to meet business needs in the most efficient and effective way. Ensure HR compliance to the BAT Control Environment requirements which includes proper resource management & mobilisation and compliance to all regional audit requirements.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to team generally and particularly to the HR Function and visibly demonstrate the Guiding Principles & BAT Leadership Capabilities to create a climate which values teamwork, the pursuit of excellence and the alignment of the HR contribution with the customer and with key internal, external and above market stakeholders.  
  • Ensure the generation of a talent pipeline within the area, whilst understanding the broader business talent requirements and development opportunities and providing direction to team on capitalizing and optimizing these opportunities.
  • Provide coaching & guidance to grow direct reports in role, providing them clarity for their career next steps and enabling them to address their individual development areas in reaching their personal goals.


  • University degree in Business Management or related business discipline.
  • 5-7 years Managerial experience in a multinational environment, with at least 7 years HR experience.
  • Business understanding of all other functions and their interface with HR.
  • Experience and sound knowledge of Talent, Rewards, OD, Business Partnership and Change Management experience.
  • Effective negotiation, influencing, communication and presentation skills to interact with people at all levels in the organisation (and outside).
  • Good leadership skills
