BAT GBS FINANCE – PRODUCT COSTING MANAGER
SENIORITY LEVEL: Senior Level
FUNCTION: Finance
SALARY RANGE: (RM10,000 – RM13,500) + excellent benefits + market leading bonus
LOCATION: Selangor, Malaysia
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively manage the delivery of Product Costing activities and helping in Group Management and Statutory Reporting information in line with the agreed service level agreements for the assigned portfolio of markets. Actively drive value creation through automation solutions and analytics. Responsible for maintaining close collaboration with key stakeholders in the assigned portfolio of markets.
Group Management information will include financial information and scenarios required for S&OP meetings, forecasts, budget and for actuals. This will include co-ordination of assumption and other data inputs, running the forecasting process activities, preparation and generation of financial information and quality review prior to releasing to the customer for approval

Geographic Scope: Selangor, Malaysia
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Monitor and control activities related to Product Costing process and system(s) to assure correct accounting reporting and system controls
- Manage the delivery of financial information and scenarios required for S&OP meetings, QPRS, budget and for actuals in line with the agreed service level agreements of our customers & respecting deadlines for respective portfolio of markets
- Ensure customer needs and relationships are fulfilled and enhanced through proactive involvement and interaction for respective portfolio of markets
- Drive value creation through automation solutions and enhance insights through analytics
- Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and support control documentation requirements
- Coordinating with the global process owners on the implementation of reporting changes, which includes submission of comprehensive business specifications where technology enhancements are required, providing training and user testing resources to test enhancements
- Review and validation of country's financial & management data handoff to highlight data integrity issues
- Understand the functionality, interfaces, and interdependencies of the financial processes and systems; ensure the existence of adequate internal controls
- Actively manage relationship with regional and end market stakeholders through regular structured engagements
CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
- Experience in on Costing to work with a diverse teams and managing remote stakeholders with Finance Business partners & specialist finance teams
- You will be working with Finance Shared Services Centre (R2R teams) /Operations teams at End Markets / NPI, CP&A, BOC Team and other GBS Centres as well as Internal & External Auditors.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification (i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA)
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
- Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls
- Understand the impact of the accounting process and practice;
- Understand the platforms and analyse reports, identify issues and challenges within reports functionalities and data;
- Understand and apply relevant financial skills and knowledge.
- A thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically BI/BPC, SAP or ERP equivalent specially FI, CO and MM modules
BENEFICIAL
- Previous working experience in shared services environment.
- Knowledge of PowerBI / other visualization tools
- Understanding of data driven analytics
