Purpose Statement 
 
Works in partnership with the business and in support of more senior Finance colleagues to: 
Translate strategies into plans and budgets, providing commercial insights relating to future performance; 
Manage and coordinate the provision of structured and insightful analysis of financial and non-financial data in order to influence and enable strategic financial decisions. 
Role complexity and nature will vary dependent on part of the BAT business supporting (geographical / functional scope). 

 

Key Accountabilities 
 

  • Provides financial advice, guidance and expertise to assist in the provision of a value added, commercially focused finance business partnering service: 
  • Support ongoing LRD transfer pricing control and maintenance for customer markets 
  • Deliver high quality financial information and advice for business units. 
  • Developing insightful financial and commercial analysis showing the financial implications of decisions. 
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases, budget and investment proposals. 
  • Support the development of strong financial and commercial awareness within business units and challenge business managers to improve performance. 
  • Implement best practice planning and control techniques in line with business needs. 
  • Coordinate with other finance specialists as required. 

 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience 

  • Professional qualification (CA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA / MBA) or working towards 
  • Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment. 
  • Experience dealing with external stakeholders. 
  • Understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems (i.e., SAP / HFM / BI / BCP).  
  • Able to influence and challenge more senior stakeholders. 
  • Experience in strategic analysis & planning and execution, performance metrics, project evaluation and commercial acumen,  
  • Ability to simplify complex situations and synthesize, communicate and present complex information 
  • Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative and consultative.
