Purpose Statement
To support Product Compliance Ingredient & Material Assessment processes, conduct work activities as allocated by line manager, using defined work practices or procedures by thorough understanding of principles and concepts. Drive process improvement activities in the Product Compliance team and embedding best practices into business as usual.  

*Maternity cover until September 2021 with the possibility of extension to 12 months.


Key Accountabilities


Operational/Professional/Business
 

  • Recognised proficiency in aspects of Product Compliance Ingredient and Material processes necessary to set up the appropriate record for the type of request and obtain the relevant information to conduct that activity. 
  • Work conducted using principles of ‘Best Practice’ to ensure that all Product Compliance activities are conducted in a robust manner with clear auditability and adherence to records management policies.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all supplier information is maintained to ensure their trust, support and co-operation.
  • Work is allocated from managerial levels and technical guidance is available.
  • Manage the update of the information in the database to ensure that all data and information is as current and as accurate as possible.  Perform periodic validation checks to confirm data accuracy.
  • Manage any required projects and initiatives in Product Compliance with respect to data acquisition and data management.

 
Management
 

  • Planning – short and long-term management of all Product Compliance requests and using formal project management tools where necessary.
  • Reporting – compiles metrics on workload, delivery and effectiveness for senior management in Product Compliance.
  • Budget – inform forecast and adhere to financial process and controls.

 
Leadership
 

  • Communication – supports the communication of Product Compliance related activities to relevant staff in the business
  • Provide training and coaching to relevant stakeholders on the use of the Document and Data Systems and on the retrieval of specific documents and data.
  • Provide direction to Product Compliance Team on best practices in document and data management and best solutions to achieve the objectives in having a comprehensive and accurate regulatory database.


Knowledge, skills and experience

 

  • A good first degree in a relevant technical discipline and/or area of expertise developed through experience and positive track record.
  • Possess advanced computer competency in Microsoft office software.
  • Basic knowledge of the contents and design of combustible tobacco products.
  • Ability to check technical documentation against current compliance requirements.
  • Maintains awareness of the current & emerging tobacco regulatory environment
  • Strong organizational skills, with proven track record in managing large amounts of data whilst maintaining a meticulous level of accuracy (‘eye for detail’).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong team player who collaborates with peers to support critical projects and deliverables.
  • Positive "can-do" attitude and effective problem solver.
