Job Title:  Trade Sales Executive (Penrith)

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Sales Executive to join our National Field team in Penrith, on a 12 month, Fixed-Term basis.

About the role:


Our Sales Executives are the face of British American Tobacco Australia and the talent pipeline to the wider business. Equipped with expert product and brand knowledge, they are consistently engaging with customers and driving our business strategies. This role is a great first step into a large FMCG organisation, immediately gaining experience in sales, customer management, commercial application, marketing strategy and campaign execution.


As a Sales Executive, your typical daily responsibilities include:


  • Analyse, report and interpret store specific data in order drive sustainable growth
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders by engaging in commercial conversations and negotiations
  • Build, foster and manage strong business partnerships with retailers
  • Educate retailers on product and category knowledge as well as on contractual obligations
  • Ensure execution of marketing strategies and campaigns for all retailers are achieved within your territory
  • Meeting and exceeding performance targets


Essential Requirements:


  • Business Degree or 2-3 years' experience in sales/marketing
  • Comprehensive communication skills
  • Strong selling, negotiation and objection handling skills
  • Solid time management, territory management, organisational and administration skills to self-manage, develop discipline, be flexible and coachable
  • Embracing a ‘can do attitude’, teamwork, resilience and initiative
  • Valid state Driver's License and safe driving record


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in FMCG for at least 2 years or previous experience as a Sales Executive or similar
  • Tech savvy with good understanding of MS Office suite of applications
