ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The role is responsible for the development and management of VN security and the position is the lead role in the provision of Business Continuity Planning and Security Services across Vietnam Cluster (East Asia Area). This role is also ensures that Leadership Team are regularly updated about the security risks and mitigating plan; compliance status of internal control environment in an accurate, concise and timely manner.

Geographic Scope: East Asia Area

What you will be accountable for

  • Risk Management: To coordinate the Risk Management process at end markets. To conduct annual exercise of following areas: country security assessment, information security gap analysis, AIT personnel risk assessment, hotel security risk assessment, site security assessment.
  • Business Continuity Management: As a BCM Coordinator for East Asia Area, the incumbent will need to ensure the implementation of Group Business Continuity Management process in market. To handle security related contingency plans e.g. Unrest Evacuation Plan, Natural Disaster Recovery Plan, Building Evacuation Plan, Fraud Response Procedure. To make sure these plans are reviewed, updated, and tested annually.
  • Crisis Management: To act as a CMT secretary to co-ordinate Crisis Management activities for any crisis arising within the company while providing support to the General Manager in updating the Crisis Management Plan annually.
  • Security action plan: To develop and execute security plans to meet to safeguard the company property, personnel, and information, etc.
  • Information Security: With support from IDT managers, manager will supervise data protection and facility manager to develop and execute plans to mitigate information security risk identified from the security gap analysis.
  • Physical Security: To coordinate with relevant departments to apply vital physical security measures at company premises (office, factory, depots, server rooms, warehouses, etc.) including guarding services and security systems.
  • Travel Security: To continuously supervise the social-political events to ensure that travel risks (VN, Cambodia, Thailand, Philippines) are advised to travellers. Making sure the maintenance of the Country Travel Notice on TRIS Website is up to date.
  • Investigation: To plan and conduct security investigations as mandated by the Head of LEX accordingly to the Group Investigation Principles, Standards and Group Investigation Manual. Reviewing of security breaches, SOBC or whistleblowing incidents, to define key findings and recommendations for business improvement.
  • Reporting: To regularly update the Leadership Team on the status of implementation for timely support.
  • Staff training/ Awareness: To develop and implement security awareness programmes within company for understanding of security policies, BCM, Information security (with support from IDT team), coordinate with HR to conduct security induction for new joiners, etc.
  • Security Budget Management: To drive effectiveness and efficiency of the security budget and other security related costs.
  • Working Relationship: To build an ongoing relationship with the Vietnam Leadership Team to ensure effective service delivery and the integration of security services within the business.

Essential experience, skills and knowledge

  • Knowledge of security management combined with experience in law enforcement or corporate security or corporate compliance.
  • High level of communications skills with ability to explain and defend difficult issues with respect to key decisions/ sophisticated concepts.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment; lead and harness assistance of others.
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiatives, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments, and optimally manage deadlines.
  • Understanding the issues and the legal framework and be capable of aligning with legal requirements.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
