PURPOSE STATEMENT:

 

To develop and execute a national trade marketing and distribution plan across channels and assist in managing General Trade business which meets brand, volume, distribution and in-store marketing objectives for each area/ national through the most effective and efficient utilisation of budgets and manpower in order to achieve company plan trade marketing and distribution objectives.

 

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Strategy & Planning

 

  • Develop & Implement a national Trade marketing and Distribution ( TM&D) strategy  across channels to drive business performance ( Both Volume and Distribution)  in GT in line with company brand strategy and the needs of the trade.
  • Develop & execute Wholesalers Management Startegy  to build strong wholesale network for distribution of BAT brands in Taiwan, meanwhile, develop plan for CVS activation.
  • Implement effective and efficient incentive schemes to reach optimum levele of distribution of all BAT brands in across channels.

 

People management

 

  • Develop efficient Area Trade marketing team through on –job training, coaching and implementation of Training.
  • Develop Area Managers and BD managers as “ Business Manager” through allowing them to take bigger responsibility of the BAT’s  business in the area including Volume and Distribution.
  • Keep Area Managers fully informed at all times of objectives, progress and future action plan in order that effective planning and in-market activities can be implemented.

 

Process  & Best Practice Implementation

 

  • Continuously improve the efficiency of TM&D operations in across channels through driving global best practices in Taiwan Market with consideration of  local reality.
  • Drive the process of field force quality acceleration by implementation of BAT development programmes in order to effectively utilize know-how of BAT development library and achieve first class quality staff in all positions of field force.

 

Business development & Resource Management

 

  • Drive Volume of all brands within  General Trade through managing the wholesalers in most effective and efficient manner.
  • Manage the distribution of company brands in order to ensure that availability is maximised in line with brand strategies and the needs of the market by trade channel and outlet type.
  • Participate in development and implement national presence marketing and promotion programmes with optimum use of resources and materials in order to achieve the highest in-store visibility and sales performance for the key strategic brands throughout the retail universe by gaining the active support of the trade.
  • Establish close working relationships with the trade(including WS)  in order to gain high levels of trade support and loyalty whilst enhancing understanding of the trading environment.
  • Efficient execution of Cycle Activities in General Trade aligned with Cycle Planning.
  • Manage budgets  and assets for the General Trade  to ensure that distribution and  trade marketing resources are secure and used in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
  • Provide trade marketing and distribution information and reports on performance in GT channlels  to ensure that relevant HQ managers are fully informed at all times.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Min. 8 years of experience at an area sales manager level in a FMCG company that has incorporated a trade channel and account management approach
  • Experience in account management and negotiation
  • Good communicator in both English and Mandarin
  • Experience in people managemet or with good team leadership skills
  • Exposure in Trade Coverage Planning, Trade activation, campaign planning
