BAT Japan IS LOOKING FOR A HR Employee Service Manager (Targeting to hire around Q2-Q3 2021)

SENIORITY LEVEL: Experienced Professional

LOCATION: Tokyo, Japan

 

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Reward Team is one of the three pillars within HR, working alongside Business Partners. Reward’s role is to advice and consult managers and HRBPs on activities related to global programs, C&B, labor cost, headcount, work rules, IA and HR information system management.

The Employee Services Manager (ES Manager) has the significant influence on the satisfaction of employees and managers. The rigid compensation policies are not modern and the ES Manager has to manage the compensation policies and procedures with flexibility while keeping the internal equity and the external competitiveness in mind.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Delivers high quality, user friendly and efficient HR transactional services that include areas of C&B, HR Information & Systems.
  • Manages the team of HR experts, provides daily coaching and guidance, and ensures all members are motivated and developed
  • Ensures basic HR procedures, guidelines and policies are effectively communicated to all employees
  • Monitors various HR transactional processes, identifies areas of improvement, and implements agreed action plans to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Acts as guardian of HR policies that includes work rules and any other labor law related documents
  • Supports HR Business Partners on employee relation matters
  • Corresponds periodical or ad-hoc requests of management reporting and this includes e.g. - headcount and labor budget report including recharge operations as a part of the labor cost management
  • Manages international assignments, both inbound and outbound, which include tax and compensation coordination, and vendor management

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • University education as a minimum
  • 5 years+ working experience in Human Resource that includes areas of;
  • - Compensation & benefit (mandatory)
  • - Employee relations (mandatory)
  • Project/Change Management skills
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation
  • English – Business Level (TOEIC 800+)
  • Japanese – Native Level
  • PC skills to flexibly work on BPC, and global and local HR systems (SuccessFactors/CEM)
  • Broad knowledge of Japanese labor laws and practices
  • Team and outsourcing vendor management experiences and skills
