Job Title:  IT Marketing Business Analyst

TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Lead / contribute to:

  • Establishing the contribution that technology can make to business objectives using a range of techniques such as eliciting & documenting requirements with stakeholders, conducting feasibility studies, producing business models, preparing business cases, usability requirements analysis and usability evaluation
  • Identifying and obtaining agreement on the requirements / features which will be most beneficial to the business
  • Providing input to and/or assist in
    • ensuring cmpliance with agreed best practices
    • preparing perational/implementation IT plans, budget proposals, resourcing plans and project plans
    • creatin and maintenance of IT strategies
  • Identifying and raising issues impacting the execution of strategic / operational / project plans
  • Understanding the overall Enterprise Architecture and assess degree of conformance of existing and new business processes
  • Overseeing implementation of solutions – checking against the initial requirements

CORE RELATIONSHIPS

  • Enterprise Architects – understand overall enterprise architecture and collaborate to ensure conformance of to the architecture
  • Solution Architects -  collaborate on the selection and development of solutions
  • Solution Delivery – collaborate to ensure solutions meet the business requirements
  • Project Managers – contribute to project plans and ensure deliverables are produced to time, cost & quality
  • Planning – support the development of IT plans and budgets
  • Business Partners and Business Unit IT managers – collaborate on the provision of professional BA services in line with agreed priorities of the business
  • Business units (regions, end markets) / Business Functions - work closely to develop business requirements and oversee implementation of solutions
  • IT functional managers / Project Managers / Business reps – collaborate in the execution of planning and analysis services and delivery of required outputs
  • 3rd Party Vendors – non-commercial supplier relationships focussed on operational / project activities

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE

  • Preferably with a degree in an IT-related discipline
  • Ability to interpret the business IT and functional strategies, understand the Group operating model, and the implications actions in one area have on other functions
  • Understand the background, issues and implications of company and functional strategic imperatives
  • Business-facing IT experience in a global environment with special focus in Trade Marketing & Distribution and Route to Market
  • Ability to land Marketing solutions underpinned by IT Technology and Innovation

 

SPECIALISATION KNOWLEDGE

The focus of the role will be mostly on Consumer Activation with the following specialisation aspects that are  preferred in a candidate:

 

  1. Consumer Activation – must have the
  • Understand the Consumer activation models/metrics, CRM/CMS/Ecommerce/Mobile technology enablers to be able to lead or support core Marketing Activation initiatives.  Agency background is preferred.
  • Understand the  User Journey / Agile methodology, implementation experiences as advantages.
  • Create  business value through the use of CRM Analytics and Insights
    Experience in 1st party and 2nd/3rd Party Consumer Data (DMP)
  1. Route to Consumer
  • Practical experience in the post-consumer activation requirement (for example: Supply Chain, Finance, e-commerce) to keep consumer activation journey relevant and in tune with constant business changes evolution.
  1. Route to Market (TME, DSS/DSD, B2B /Order capture)
  • Practical experience in the field of business models, business requirements and related IT solutions applicable to one or more of the following areas: Trade Marketing & Distribution, Brand management, SP&I, and Business Development
  • Practical experience in executing change underpinned by IT technology related to Trade Marketing and Distribution, Route to Market and Business Development
  1. Analytics
    • Practical experience in BI/Data/Analytics including data modelling, data lake, translating data into usable value-added information.
