Our Global Travel Retail (GTR) business unit is responsible for managing and distributing British American Tobacco brands to global travel retail channels, in particular duty free airport retailers in Americas, Western Europe, Asia Pacific and EEMEA Regions. The GTR business is a unique channel for true global brand building and with a customer base including more than 300 operations in 120 countries around the world. In our GTR Trade Department, we are looking for an experienced:


A Trade Activation Executive is required to implement key initiatives that drive volume, market share growth and profitability in a defined portfolio of accounts in line with the GTR marketing strategy and guidelines. This role will be based in Tokyo, Japan.


Key Accountabilities

• In field Customer relationship Management with weekly visits to retail outlets
• Ensuring optimal stock hold in each location, informing the Account Manager of stock position
• Reporting key compliance KPI’s via trade system
• Implementing and maintaining planograms
Promotional Management
• Promo Set Up - Responsible for installation & quality check
• Promo 121 - Planning and mystery spot checks
• Promotional material management including distribution and tracking
1-2-1 Support
• Delivering on the job coaching and industry specific training for Multi Category Influencers (MCI) based in airports
• Supporting the agency with the selection of Talent for MCI and Promoter roles


Key requirements:


• Previous trade marketing experience within a multinational company
• Global travel retail experience is advantageous
• Strong customer relationship skills
• Ability to influence stakeholders
• Ability to operate independently whilst being results-oriented
• Written and spoken fluency in English (Other languages are a plus but not essential)
• Willingness to travel very frequently
