BAT IS LOOKING FOR AN RGM COMMERCIAL & PRICING MANAGER

This role is part of a new "Strategic Insights & Revenue Growth Management" global team, that will work on ensuring and embedding the growth of the business at a global scale.

The role is responsible for working as a business partner for Finance and Marketing leaders in end markets and generate valuable insights and foresights.

This role is expected to provide critical support in developing and embedding Revenue Growth Management and Marketing Spend Effectiveness capabilities in GBS by collaborating with rest of the relevant GBS team, and also with global project team, IDT (particularly D&A) as well as end market teams.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Understand strategies and initiatives that will accelerate revenue growth (RGM), and increase marketing spend effectiveness (MSE) at BAT
  • Serve the business units as an extension of the Commercial Teams with an understanding of the business and how to enable sustainable net revenue growth and marketing spend efficiency.
  • Bring to bear analytical tools by providing insights and recommendations towards the achievement of RGM financial plans and supporting execution initiatives
  • Contributing to continually improving business performance by conducting analyses and developing insights to drive velocity and net revenue growth and marketing spend effectiveness
  • Collaborate and partner with cross-functional team (including marketing, finance, IDT particularly D&A team) regarding revenue growth management and marketing spend effectiveness
  • Support the process of providing pricing-related insights and perspective related to competitor activities, consumer trends and interactions between categories and across price segments
  • Support the process of evaluating the effectiveness/efficiency of Marketing programs & touchpoints through analytical tools to support better decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Support the process of supervising and shaping of Trade Margins working closely with end market teams. Support major relevant initiatives such as TCI (Total Customer Investment) etc.
  • Provide insights to drive spend efficacy and smart cost management within the Marketing team.
  • Able to effectively operate in a matrix organization with high level of change

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Around 8 years of professional experience with 4+ years of experience in revenue growth management insights and analytics, business intelligence, pricing, promotion, sales analytics, marketing research, consumer insights and/or category management.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and business acumen to build strong business cases to drive core business decisions and change/innovation
  • Experience of actively using platforms like Power BI, Tableau, etc. for generating impactful insights and foresights in above mentioned aspects.
  • Experience in analyzing reports and analytics generated by data science and statistical models, and identifying issues, challenges, and opportunities
  • Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment (consumer goods strongly preferred).
  • Ability to simplifying sophisticated situations, communicate and present complex information
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative, and consultative
  • Highly advantageous if the candidate has experience of above market role working with partners from multiple countries.
  • Highly advantageous if some experience of shared services line of work or involved in change transformation.
