FUNCTION: Operations

LOCATION: Winston-Salem, NC USA 



This role is part of Procurement

The role is responsible for collaborating with internal and external investors to procure desired goods and services for Operations in an efficient, timely, and ethical manner, and ensure that legal, risk, and compliance guidelines are followed.

Reports to: Senior Manager Procurement 

Reporting Level: 0

Geographic Scope: DRBU 



  • Collaborate with client groups to define item or service specifications and requirements, and then communicate requirements to vendor.
  • Analyze quotations for accuracy, completion and contract compliance, and make sourcing recommendations.
  • Support calculated planning and the Procurement process for assigned goods and services while exercising good business and analytical skills.
  • Develop, handle, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure goods and services availability at optimum pricing, quality, and delivery.
  • Benchmark category performance and apply market research and analysis for recommendations to client groups.
  • Utilizing third party resources, accountable for the creation and management of contracts, RFx initiatives and auctions.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and metrics.
  • Execute client-initiated purchase orders according to guidelines.


  • Do you possess an engineering or technical degree?
  • Have you worked directly in a manufacturing environment or have you supported manufacturing from a procurement or project management perspective?
  • Do you have procurement experience? 


  • Experience working with external suppliers of goods and/or services
  • SAP or equivalent ERP knowledge/experience
  • Ability to make sound and timely decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, upbeat, flexible, and adaptable to change
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 4+ years relevant work experience, or
  • Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technology or related field and 6+ years relevant work experience, or
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of dynamic work experience


  • Procurement experience, particularly indirect procurement experience
  • Experience with contract negotiation and pricing agreements
  • Knowledge of and/or experience working in a regulated environment
