LOCATION: Sunway Geo Tower, Bandar Sunway

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Reports to:Regional Talent Acquisition Senior Manager

Reporting Level: Managerial

Geographic Scope: Asia Pacific & Middle East

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Leading all aspects and coordinating all recruitment activities within the team/Direct Reporting Business Unit. Includes managing a team of talent acquisition partners and specialists delivering recruitment targets, ensuring recruitment process is carried or efficiently and optimally.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of GBS and Recruitment goals, business structure and areas of responsibility.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including Hiring Managers, HR partners and internal functional managers.
  • Maintaining compliance with all recruitment regulations.
  • Leading and managing a team of recruiters, providing mentorship, support and direction in building a future capability fit team.
  • Key Performance Indicators, Pos and Development plan for the team to be delivered as part of Recruitment Leadership Team.
  • Develop market pools containing active and passive candidates for consideration.
  • Conduct in-depth screening and assessment of candidate behavioural, cultural and competency alignment.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions to improve recruitment process.
  • Drive functional Learning & Development initiatives as part of recruitment LT team.
  • Regularly engage to assess changes in hiring needs and understand key market events (e.g. conferences, forums etc.).
  • Grow and build on internal network of stakeholders.
  • Support candidates within the pipeline to navigate BAT organisation by providing insights on role, organisational culture and connect them to the leadership network.
  • Network and engage with prospective candidates to leverage on potential opportunities.
  • Participate and follow key industry leaders, competitor business decisions and moves and industry events to stay up to date with external market and trends.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Talent Managers and Centre of Excellence to position BAT as an employer of choice.
  • Become a visible brand ambassador.
  • Driving collaboration and truly embedding BAT values + in line with GBS strategies in all deliverables.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a minimum experience of five (5) years in a related field.
  • Ability to understand business priorities and strategy and translate into recruitment plans.
  • Effective consulting and leadership skills; ability to interact with senior management, collaborate and build solid relationships with hiring managers, HR Partners and external third parties for synchronized, high-quality outcomes.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, negotiation skills & strong team work mind set.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills with a sound sense of urgency and high level of accountability.
  • Dedication to diversity and inclusion in recruitment practices.
  • Up-to-date intelligence of candidate market, talent trends and top sourcing channels.
  • Experience leveraging social media and professional networks to source talent.
