Location: Lae, Papua New Guinea

Reporting directly to the Head Of National Field, the role will require the following key accountabilities and qualifications:

  • Responsible for building sustainable partnerships with key customers to drive category growth and protect BAT’s share of the market.
  • Manage in an effective manner Regional budgets that enable optimal utilization of resources and assets.
  • Manage the implementation of regional presence and promotion programs in line with cycle plans and brand objectives and strategies with the optimum use of resources to achieve the highest in-store visibility and sales performance throughout the region.
  • Implement national presence marketing and promotion programs with optimum use of resources and materials to achieve the highest in-store visibility and sales performance for the key strategic brands throughout the area by gaining the active support of the trade.
  • Manage the implementation of business plans for merchandising and promotion in all outlets in order to achieve brand, volume, and share objectives, and targets.
  • Manage financial accounts and assets for the area to ensure that trade marketing resources are secure and used in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
  • To develop and implement local business strategies designed to drive volume, share and profit growth.
  • Lead an efficient and effective area trade marketing and distribution team through on-job training, coaching, motivation and staff development to achieve benchmark trade marketing and distribution representation in respect of both core and added value services.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • A minimum of 8 years of working experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic working environment in a leadership role.
  • Preferably, a degree qualified in Business, Economics, HR, or Marketing courses.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
