British American Tobacco Zambia has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Intern in Lusaka for a period of 12 months.
This is an internship, a fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- To learn & understand production processes and Safety in Manufacturing and apply the knowledge in improving factory KPIs and driving to improve maintenance effectiveness.
- Drive factory performance improvement through effective implementation of Integrated Work System Run To Target on the shopfloor.
- Update the relevant documentation per required frequency.
- Participate in EHS related projects improvements.
- Build effective collaboration skills through regular and accurate updating key stakeholders on factory performance progression.
- Machine operations and control.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical) with at least a Second-Class Upper Division.
- Recent University Graduate (maximum 2 years since their graduation)
- Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ).
- A self-starter, driven, ambitious individual with a zeal for learning.
- Excellent communication skills complimented by excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Team player and good interpersonal skills
