JOB TITLE: Information Executive (Senior/ Assistant Manager level)

FUNCTION: Marketing 

SUB FUNCTION: Consumer Insights & Foresights

CITY & COUNTRY: Seoul, South Korea

Purpose Statement

Support the process of market and competitor insight generation for South Korea. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of consumer offtake, in market performance data, and competitor intelligence. Support the design, delivery, and ongoing review of data analysis to enable marketing strategy formulation and evidence-based commercial decision making.


  • Prepare and support effective and accurate delivery of information content for market performance updates
  • Capture, track and consolidate competitor intelligence, activity and generate reporting
  • Prepare market dynamics and competitor input for sales and operational planning cycle
  • Prepare and support on reporting requirements within direct reporting business unit, the region, and the center as well as request for above market engagements and senior decision forums and delivery of performance updates at corporate events
  • Ensure that all relevant marketing information is available and up to date to meet company business needs and oversee maintenance of South Korea data sources
  • Manage internal data tracking and management
  • Build working relationships within the insights & foresights team and cross functionally to ensure capture and effective analysis of information
  • Support strive to improve and identify/ propose improvement opportunities in current processes to enhance the effectiveness of market and consumer insight generation
  • Put in action of behaviors and attitudes which are in line with BAT’s core values to contribute to a positive working culture and growth mindset


  1. Experience
  • At least two to three years of work experience in consumer/ commercial marketing environment, proficient in people management
  • High attention to detail and quality of work, accuracy, and proven analytical capability
  • Mental agility, inquisitive, data driven, and result oriented
  • Growth mindset, proactivity, ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work in fast pace, pressured environment as well as meet end market time zone
  • Strong command of Microsoft office suite (Excel and PowerPoint essential)
  • Good and prompt communicator, high integrity, and honesty
  • Competent speaking and writing skill in both English and Korean language
  • Advantageous:
    • Mandarin language proficiency
    • Number driven work experience
