ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Insights & Foresights – Senior Manager, Tracking Assets provides strategic and analytical support related to Consumer-based data assets across key stakeholders within Insights & Foresights, Consumer Marketing, Strategy & Planning, Trade Marketing, Revenue Growth Management and Activation organizations.
Supports and Manages Consumer Tracking Assets – leveraging and combining insights across key data assets to drive deep understanding of cross-category consumer dynamics across the nicotine category (Cigarettes, Vapor, Oral products) including trends, brand CDF, brand equity, demographic profiles, brand attitudes, and barriers/drivers to adoption.
Provides significant value by applying a comprehensive understanding of the nicotine industry, business drivers and integration of a ‘consumer-led’ focus to support corporate objectives.
Participates in departmental and cross-functional teams and is sought out by others for support in their consumer insight needs.
Must maintain strong credibility and consistently demonstrate effective leadership, influencing and presentation skills.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Supports and evolves Reynolds proprietary brand tracking initiative (TRACK) and Longitudinal consumer panel in alignment with global partners, providing deep understanding of the consumer dynamics within the nicotine/tobacco landscape, identifying KPI’s, dashboards and deep dive analyses to provide business-oriented insights.
- Build analyses and consolidate Consumer Data & Insights across data assets and platforms to provide solutions & recommendations to key stakeholders Identifies and evolves planning to integrate consumer-focused insights more broadly with key stakeholders within the organization
- Be a key contact and Subject Matter Expert for Data Sources (e.g. Track, Harmoni, longitudinal panel, MRI Simmons, etc), analyzing and leveraging the information to feed actionable insights
- Supports internal team and external vendor partners to ensure best-in-class, high quality and accessible consumer landscape and insights based on the TRACK and Longitudinal platforms.
- Identifies and evolves planning to integrate consumer-focused insights more broadly with key stakeholders within the organization.
- Develops key topics for deep dive analyses to support corporate objects, such as…
- Total Nicotine and category trends, poly-use dynamics, Source of Business (inflows/outflows), consumer pools, brand dynamics (CDF, bottlenecks, equity trends and attribute drivers, segment alignment, price tier (uptrading/downtrading), etc.
- Aligns internal and vendor resources – both syndicated (MRI Simmons, Kantar, IRI, Numerator, etc.) and ad hoc (primary, tracker, online communities, SML) to develop concise, impactful analyses on designated topics
- Develops and implements analyses and reporting activities to drive timely, fit for purpose and actionable business results
- Identifies, analyses and implements comprehensive quarterly deep dives and key monthly updates in required forums
- Identifies new sources or ways to optimize consumer data sources

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- 5+ years in consumer market research and/or related field. CPG experience preferred.
- Ability to understand broader business issues and seek resolution
- Ability to manage, leverage and analyze data sources, interpret meaningful trends and draw conclusions to deliver actionable business recommendations.
- Ability to identify business opportunities in Sales and Marketing performance factors to influence execution.
- Ability to manage and deliver to client needs
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with ability to work with a broad range of disciplines and cross-functionally
- Strong verbal/written communication, data visualization and presentations skills
- Storytelling capabilities with action-oriented recommendations
- SME in Qualitative & Quantitative Consumer Survey methodologies and analytics
- Vendor management
- Deep understanding of Survey Design, Sampling, Weighting/Balancing, moderator guide development,
- Commercial Tools (Retail Sales Data – IRI/Nielsen, Microstrategy), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Ad hoc.
- Requires very strong technical skills that includes proficiency in math and statistics
- Bachelors Degree in Market Research, Business or related field preferred
