FUNCTION: Finance

LOCATION: Winston-Salem, NC

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

• Function as the lead finance contact for the DBS function
• Manage the monthly budgeting cycles through coordination with staff and stakeholders (RAI and BAT Group)   
• Work closely with DBSLT to drive financial stability and high accuracy of data, planning & analysis
• Partner with all levels within DBS to foster effective relationships that contribute to achieving financial objectives
• Challenge unjustified spend and unrealistic forecasts by understanding business needs
• Capture insights related to financial data drivers and trends to assist DBS in achieving spend optimization while meeting company guidance
• Communicate via storytelling; enable DBSLT to quickly digest trends, risk/opportunities, as well as drive decision-making 
• Oversee month-end closing accountabilities including journal entry preparation, review, and approval; variance analysis; and reporting based on GAAP and company accounting practices

CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?

• Are you comfortable operating across multiple stakeholders with varying requests / deliverables / timelines?
• Are you familiar with GAAP vs. IFRS accounting impacts?

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• 5+ years of experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, or related area
• Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
• Strong oral and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to influence responsible budgeting
• Exceptional analytical skills with ability to link results to drivers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Work with a high degree of independence.
• Strategic thinking, ability to quickly translate data into key business implications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area
• MBA and/or CPA preferred
