ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
We are looking to recruit a Sustainability Affairs Manager to our CoRA Team.
Responsible for developing and implementing CTC’s overall sustainability strategy in alignment with the Group’s global sustainability goals. The incumbent will be encouraged to work closely with internal CTC functions to craft and deliver the corporate external communication strategy for all sustainability -related matters. This role also involves extensive cross-functional collaboration to craft, implement, and supervise sustainability initiatives, ensuring their effective execution and measurable impact. In addition to strategic responsibilities, the incumbent will be actively involved in on-the-ground execution—engaging directly with partners, facilitating local initiatives, and ensuring alignment between high-level objectives and operational delivery.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Drive The Environment, Social & Governance i.e. CTC’s management agenda for CTC
- Engage with External Partners to initiate, facilitate and amplify CTC’s management initiatives across the country
- Identify and evaluate emerging sustainability trends and concerns that holds potential impact
- Collaborate with all CTC functions within the business to deliver CTC’s management objectives with a heightened focus on operations to align CTC’s management strategy across all functions
- Handle flagship CTC’s management initiatives by CTC and ensure approvals and governance by CTC’s Leadership Team and Board CSI Steering Committee
- Ensuring that the sustainability agenda of the Company is aligned to and follows the CTC Group Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Framework
- Ensure timely updates on all CTC’s management initiatives to CTC’s Leadership Team and Board CSI Steering Committee
- Provide strategic direction for all flagship CTC’s management initiatives
- Ensure 100% compliance of all CTC’s management initiatives with local laws, regulations and CTC’s VSI Framework
- Update the company CSR Board on all CSR/Flagship CTC’s management projects plans and executions
- Provide OTIF reporting of the company’s sustainability initiatives to the distributed team
- Maintain liaison with the regional BC&S team for initiating campaigns and activities
- Deliver the company’s management report and support in the publication of the Annual report
- Represent the company in cross industry sustainability forums to drive collaboration and standard process sharing
- Identify and understand opportunities for collaboration on CTC’s management projects to improve impact of CTC’s management initiatives in the country
- Continuously develop and evolve CTC’s management strategy to ensure that CTC is aligned to national priorities of the time
- Update the CTC Leadership Team on current CTC’s management trends in the country and the world and propose activities for CTC carry out
- Identify and implement staff CSI projects annually
- Initiate long term partnerships with suppliers and partners to explore new opportunities
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s in Environmental Science, Sustainability / Balanced Development, Public Policy / International Relations, Business Administration, Environmental Engineering, Social Sciences.
- Experience in Sustainability Management, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental Policy, Climate Change & Development, ESG or Impact Investing, MBA or Experience with a focus on Sustainability or ESG
- Understanding of ESG frameworks and reporting standards (GRI etc.)
- Excellent communication and partner engagement skills
- Analytical approach with the ability to measure and report sustainability impact
- Critical thinking combined with operational execution (including fieldwork/ground-level experience)
- Familiarity with industry-specific sustainability challenges (e.g., supply chain, environmental compliance)
- Experience in being a partner with govt. officials and related institutes
- Experience in managing a team of related field-level professionals.
- Experience in building and maintaining relationships with external partner.
- Strong understanding of the local market’s position on climate/environment related concerns and staying up-to date on best practices
- Ability to analyze data, be technologically adaptive and propose recommendations
