British American Tobacco Bangladesh has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Analyst in Finance
Your key responsibilities will include:
·Ensuring that the organization adheres to local tax & VAT regulations are followed such as timely submission of returns, statements, reports etc.
·Verifying the accuracy of tax and VAT fillings, payments.
·Identifying potential non-compliances issues.
·Conducting audits for tax records, transactions and systems to assess tax related risk and compliances.
·Reviewing tax returns, supporting documentation and accounting system for accuracy and completeness.
·Investigating irregularities or discrepancies in returns, fillings, process including internal books & records.
·Identifying and planning for mitigating tax risks within the company
·Advising on strategies to minimize tax liabilities without breaching compliances
·Evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls related to tax compliances and reporting
·Recommending enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in tax process.
·Developing and updating internal policies and procedures to strengthen tax compliances frameworks
·Identifying and mitigating tax risks within the company
·Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings to Corporate Tax Manager/Management.
·Documenting audit process, findings and recommendations for future reference.
·Supporting tax teams and external auditors or tax authorities during any external tax audits.
·Extends cooperation with tax and cross functional team members for continuous improvement of deliverables values and results.
·Ensure an appropriate level of knowledge transfer for team members.
·Identify, assess, and where appropriate, implement efficiency improvements; ensure compliance & business needs through proactive involvement and interaction.
·Manage the contractual resources and ensure the business deliveries on time
What are we looking for?
·Business graduate with at least 5-7 years’ experience in senior positions as internal auditor of any MNC/Group of Companies-Manufacturing with expert knowledge in Tax-VAT Act/Rules/regulation.
·Added knowledge & experience in finance/accounting/SAP/Audit is required.
·Possess strong auditing, analytical, technical, presentation and interpersonal skills.
·Good communications skills with ability to explain and defend issues with respect to key decisions.
·Ability to establish priorities of key deliverables.
