The Procurement Data Analytics and Insights role plays a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights to help Procurement make informed decisions to drive improvements and value added to the business.
This position is responsible for conducting tasks around data, reporting, analytics and insights for procurement categories including Indirect Goods & Services and Direct Materials supporting Procurement Managers and Leadership Team with data driven information. Unlocking the power of information, turning data into information and insights.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the efforts for US Procurement around data gathering from various sources and ensuring its accuracy by filtering out errors and inconsistencies.
- Using statistical tools and techniques to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within datasets.
- Creating charts, graphs, and dashboards to present findings in a clear and understandable manner.
- Translating complex data insights into reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Forecasting future trends and providing recommendations based on historical data.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency in all reporting and analysis efforts.
- Study procurement departmental and category data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. This will involve using software and tools to gather and interpret data as well as visualize the data.
- Work in partnership with Procurement GBS and ensure that any data or related reporting actions are being executed in alignment with USA Procurement strategy ensuring targets and objectives are being met.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Data Science, Engineering or Business Management, or related field and 3-5 years of experience Or Post Graduate Degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or related field and 5+ years of relevant work experience Or 7+ years of work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.).
- Proficiency with SAP.
- Data management and analytic mindset
- Mastery of digital tools
- Proactively challenges the status quo and asks questions to understand "root cause" issues and develops a plan to solve problems.
- Proficient in finding gaps, risks and opportunities using data, trends, and market forces, driving the move from tactical to strategic and reactive to proactive. Utilizing data to help communicate and story tell to help influence the broader stakeholder community.
- Understands stakeholders / client area’s needs & engages with middle and senior management stakeholders to meet their priorities and requirements and therefore, builds effective, trustful, personal relationships
