Why Graduates Programme?

Our Global Graduate programme’s mission is to develop the future leaders of BAT. The 18-month rotational programme is structured to grow essential business and leadership skills through world class learning, international exposure and a job role where graduates can contribute from day one. Our Global Graduate community come together for a two-week Graduate Academy (one week in London) for a deep dive into BAT where they connect with fellow Graduates and senior colleagues from across the globe.

British American Tobacco Mexico has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Global Graduate in Monterrey

If you’re driven, passionate and ambitious, our Global Graduate Program will let you achieve your potential. It is a hands-on job from day one – with world class training, international scope and the chance to reach your potential. You will progress from graduate to junior manager within 18 months, with the opportunity to become an outstanding leader in a world-class organization.

Our HR Graduate Programme helps you to develop exceptional Commercial skills - fully understanding the dynamics of the market you are operating in, and how the BAT Human Resources departments work together to achieve outstanding business results.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the HR Business Partner (HRBP) function, acting as the main HR point of contact for the trade marketing team
  • Spend 30-40% of the time in the field, observing operations and applying coaching & feedback methodologies
  • Manage core HR processes such as recruitment, payroll, labor relations, and performance management.
  • Drive Talent Management & Development (TMD) initiatives and analyze HR KPIs to support continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and support HR strategies while being open to national and international travel, including stays of up to 1–3 weeks.
  • End Market implementation of the Global Learning & Development agenda:
  • Develops, delivers and facilitates innovative local learning interventions that respond to local business demands.
  • Evaluates all learning and development activities. Such evaluation should seek to cover Reaction, Learning, Behaviour and Results.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field
  • Final year students (expected graduation date on May 2025) or fresh graduates (graduation from May 2022 to December 2024)
  • Up to 3 years of professional experience (internships are considered)
  • Fluent in English (advanced level)
  • Experience in the FMCG industry
  • Must be open to national and international mobility
  • Intercultural competencies from international experience or personal background are desirable
  • A valid driver’s license is required
