British American Tobacco Mexicohas an exciting opportunity for a ESG& Sustainability Manager in Tepic, MX.
Drive the local Leaf ESG deployment for the Groups tobacco requirements and ensure a responsible and effective supply chain. Lead Mexican leaf ESG initiatives across BAT´s farmer base. Ensure compliance and performance of all suppliers/farmers and embed framework for ESG Supplier Management. Ensure compliance and performance of all suppliers/farmers and develop framework for certifications and verification.
Builds value by managing key ESG issues and deploying workstream initiatives whilst actively engaging stakeholders. Primarily focused on driving and executing the ESG strategy implementation to achieve the Better Tomorrow Vision.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Drive the Leaf ESG agenda in Mexico
- Farmers ESG Performance Management
- ESG initiatives development and deployment
- Risk and Prompt Action management
- Systems and Capabilities Development
- Develop and implement ESG roadmap within the farmer base
- Manage local governance and periodic review
- Deploy Leaf ESG strategy and framework to deliver the targets
What are we looking for?
- 2 to 5 years working in Agriculture, ESG or EHS with a proven track record in supply chains/operations.
- Advanced English level
- Strong communication, engagement, and interpersonal skills
- Drive, positive attitude, proactive, pragmatic & hands-on approach
- Knowledge of Agricultural Supply Chains & Managing suppliers
- Understanding of the Sustainability processes and challenges
- Initiative Management and Transformational mindset
- Academic background in Environment or Social
