WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SR MANAGER INDIRECT PROCUREMENT OPERATIONS 

SENIORITY LEVEL: Mid-Senior Level

FUNCTION: Procurement

LOCATION: Winston Salem, NC

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Reports to: Director Indirect Procurement Operations

Number of Direct Reports: 2 to 3

Core Relationships:Internal – Key stakeholders and partners across all levels within Reynolds American, entire Reynolds American Procurement organization, and counterparts with Global BAT including                          External - Vendors

Geographic Scope: Local

Travel Required: 10%

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Accountable of deploying in RAI the sourcing and category strategies for Operations.
  • Proactively engaging on an ongoing basis with functional stakeholders in Operations across multiple levels, to capture services and material’s requirements, influence demand.
  • Support Procurement Policy communication, training, and compliance within Operations communities.
  • Responsible for strategic spend analysis for Operations categories as an input for the definition of RAI’s Indirect Procurement Strategy and Annual sourcing plan.
  • Lead the Supplier Management Process for Operations supplier base, including supplier segmentation, risk assessment, performance management plan definition, compliance tracking and reporting. Accountable for ensuring deployment of ESG Procurement initiatives for Operations suppliers.
  • Develop sourcing plans and other strategic programs that support business requirements, ensure cost containment and continuous process improvements.
  • Participate in negotiations with suppliers and in the decision-making process for resolution of problems and issues.
  • Leading a team of Indirect Category Managers (2-3 direct reports)

Provide leadership and direction.             

Define Performance Objectives and provide ongoing follow up and feedback.

Definition and execution of quality development plans.

Provides daily leadership and coaching to his/her Team with focus on obtaining functional and strategic Company goals as well as individual performance and development goals.

  • Do you have experience leading change management initiatives?
  • Do you have experience working in matrix organizations?

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Science, Engineering or Business Management, or related field and 7-10 years of experience Or Post Graduate Degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or related field and 7+ years of relevant work experience Or 12+ years of work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Proficiency with SAP.
  • Proven experience with project management, tools and systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively upwards and downwards throughout the organization. 
  • Ability to influence and drive change while ensuring execution.
  • Understanding and experience executing strategic sourcing processes

  • 401(k) plan that offers opportunity to save on pre- and post-tax basis up to 50 percent of eligible compensation.
