As a Compliance and Engagement Manager – Record to Report (R2R), you will play a critical role in ensuring a robust and compliant Finance control environment across end-to-end Finance processes within BAT’s Global Business Solutions organization.
You will act as a key partner to global teams, end markets, and senior stakeholders, supporting finance transformation initiatives, process optimization, and continuous improvement across multiple regions. This role combines strong Finance expertise with stakeholder engagement, change management, and operational excellence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing expertise and leadership on Finance processes, controls, and compliance across the Record to Report (R2R) landscape
- Monitoring process performance, SLAs, and KPIs, while driving improvements and resolving operational issues
- Acting as the key liaison between end markets, global process teams, and GBS stakeholders to support process integration and transformation initiatives
- Supporting the implementation of Finance transformation projects, including ERP changes, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance the overall control environment
- Driving engagement and collaboration across cross-functional and geographically diverse teams
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with BAT standards and governance requirements
- Supporting change management activities and promoting a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous
improvement
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in Finance, Accounting, Reporting, or Compliance within a multinational environment
- Strong hands-on experience in Record to Report (R2R) processes and Finance transformation initiatives
- Experience working in global matrix organization’s with multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of Finance controls, governance, and compliance frameworks
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective operational and process solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including exposure to senior leadership
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and change management skills
It would be a plus if you also have:
- ACCA, CIMA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and Agile ways of working
- Background in FMCG, shared services, or Global Business Services environments
