British American Tobacco (CTC) Sri Lanka has an exciting opportunity for a Field Support Counsel in Colombo (Fixed-term Contract)
We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dynamic individuals for our Legal Department as Field Support Counsel.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Making representations to regulatory and enforcement authorities and Courts throughout the country
- Providing legal advice and guidance on applicable laws and regulations
- Advising on the latest legal developments and provide guidance on practical implications of laws and regulations
- Conducting legal awareness sessions for business stakeholders
- Supporting the team to mitigate legal issues in field operations
What are we looking for?
- LLB and/or Attorney-at-law (extensive experience not required*)
- Ability to travel extensively is required
- Strong command of English and Sinhala is required
- Fluency in Tamil will be an added advantage
- Experience with handling police inquiries and litigation exposure will be an added advantage
