British American Tobacco (BAT) has an exciting opportunity for a HR Manager in Vietnam.
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
Geographic Scope: Factory Base, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Grade: Management Level
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
The HR Manager will be reporting to Senior HRBP Manager and responsible in providing full HR & admin operations to BAT Factory in Ho Chi Minh City with effective management of key HR processes, whilst adhering to company HR strategy, policy and process.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Oversee effective deployment of E2E people agenda such as recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and performance management. Ensure all HR activities align with strategic goals and compliance standards.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures to the senior leaders, managers, and employees.
- Lead employee and industrial relations projects for the factory, including organizing engagement and well-being events.
- Manage compensation and benefits budget and structures effectively. Ensure that office facilities and services support a productive and positive work environment.
- Support organizational change initiatives, assess impacts on personnel, and foster the development of the desired employer brand and workplace culture.
- Coordinate with joint-venture partners and other stakeholders to optimize HR agendas.
- Promote direct feedback, psychological safety, and an inclusive culture among business functions and within the HR team.
- Coach and mentor on-site staff, leading to the identification of training and development activities for all levels within the Factory to retain and enhance competence.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a HR & Admin Manager or as a HR Generalist, proven experience from factory or manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Problem solving ability and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Labor Law understanding, good knowledge of HR common practice in market
- Fast learner and adaptability in a fast-paced environmen
- Good command of Business English in both writing and speaking
- Able to understand business goals and recommend tailored HR approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity, and development of HR within the company.
