British American Tobacco Poland has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Commercial Finance Manager in Warsaw
The Junior Commercial Finance Manager will support the Regional Commercial Finance team with the various in-depth analysis of financial performance of the Region as well as deep-dives into end-markets, DRBUs, categories and products performance. Using commercial knowledge, the person should produce analysis and insights as well as run scenario modelling to support strategic discussions and Region-wide decisions. The role is expected to support regional reporting on Marketing Capex, Inventory write-offs, Key Financial Indicators, Indirect spend and other ad-hoc projects (e.g.,SKU rationalisation, Marketing Spend effectiveness, Business Case reviews) and actively interact with Regional marketing and DRBU Finance. Position requires ability to multi-task, set priorities and be able to work under time pressure as the person will be joining a fast-paced environment and a very dynamic team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver projects that include various in-depth analysis and scenario modelling by category/area/end market for different PL lines (eg.Route to Market, profitability, non-criminal losses)
- Lead bottom-up consolidation and prioritization of Marketing capex investments across the region, regular update and tracking of actuals vs plan.
- Support consolidation of Inventory Write-Offs across the region, provide in depth insights by different type of losses across all regional end markets, followed with presentation to Regional Leadership team
- Support Regional Exceptions Committee process and the governance around business cases framework
- Providing high quality financial and commercial information to the business
- Contributes to strategy formulation through the provision of high quality evidenced based analysis, decision making and advice to the regional leadership team.
- Sharing insightful financial analysis showing the financial implications of decisions and aid budget and investment proposal approvals
- Strong teamwork & collaboration with Area Finance, Regional Strategic & planning, Marketing, and other GBS departments to ensure delivery of cross-functional projects as well as integrity and quality of analysis
What are we looking for?
- University degree in Economics or a related field; a Master’s degree or CIMA/ACCA certification is a strong advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience in Finance, preferably within an FMCG organization.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Proactive attitude, with a strong desire for continuous learning and contributing to a high-performing team.
- Strong critical and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and managing multiple priorities.
- Previous commercial experience is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools; familiarity with Power BI, BPC, or SAP is a plus.
