British American Tobacco POLAND has an exciting opportunity for an Junior Supply Chain Manager in WARSAW
The role is responsible for translating commercial plans into actionable supply chain operations by ensuring alignment between Demand Planning, Commercial teams, and Central Operations. It focuses on enabling effective execution of product availability, managing risks, and supporting key initiatives within standard planning processes. Strong emphasis is placed on data-driven decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement.
This role ensures that business priorities are effectively converted into feasible and well-coordinated operational plans, supporting service levels and business continuity. It drives improved visibility, reduces supply risks such as stockouts and write-offs, and enables smooth execution of key commercial initiatives. As a result, it enhances cross-functional alignment and contributes to overall supply chain efficiency and performance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure continuous product availability by collaborating with Demand Planning, Market/Commercial, and Supply Planning teams, acting as a key link and aligning supply plans, requirements, constraints, and timelines with business priorities and customer needs.
- Support and enable supply chain initiatives (e.g., NPIs, regulatory and commercial transitions) from a planning and execution perspective, ensuring operational readiness and smooth integration into BAU processes.
- Maintain product freshness and optimize stock levels across all locations in coordination with Logistics and Warehousing, balancing service levels, inventory health, and cost efficiency.
- Analyse sales, supply, and inventory data to proactively manage demand fluctuations, prevent stockouts, minimize SLOBs and write-offs, and identify and mitigate supply risks through scenario planning and trade-off evaluation.
- Investigate root causes of supply issues (stockouts, SLOBs, disruptions), implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in planning and execution processes.
- Identify inefficiencies, standardize and structure processes, and contribute to the digital agenda through improved tools, dashboards, and automation.
- Serve as a key Supply Chain stakeholder in cross-functional initiatives and projects, ensuring alignment between supply capabilities and commercial objectives.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Supply Chain Planning (DRP, production planning, materials/semi-finished/finished goods planning or relevant)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
- Practical experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis or similar tools).
- Strong foundation in supply chain planning, S&OP and inventory management concepts (inventory management, demand-supply balancing, service vs. cost trade-offs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Polish and English.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Demonstrated curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset – eager to challenge complexity, simplify processes, and drive more efficient ways of working.
