REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Product Quality Testerin Winston-Salem, NC (Tobaccoville)

The Product Quality Tester is responsible for Quality Control activities related to compliance with Product Quality

requirements, daily product quality audits, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Manufacturing guidelines, sampling, testing, and analyzing data and documentation for Domestic and Export products. Additionally, the role communicates with management and operations staff providing Product Quality guidance. Participation in investigations related to consumer complaints is expected as well.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Perform visual and physical inspections to ensure proper materials are being used and various Quality audits on the required shift to verify products are within Quality specifications.
  • Report all non-conformances from normal practices and procedures by means of Quality Control reports.
  • Perform round oven moisture testing (pack moisture) and report results including out-of-spec non-conformances. Monitor round oven calibrations (pack moisture) and report negative trends for corrective action daily. Accurately operate within the following Quality systems: LIMS, VIDES, MES, Pilgrim, and SAP.
  • Perform Pack Seal checks and document results, as required.
  • Collect samples for analytical testing, which includes routine and “test” samples, as required.
  • Ensure timely communication to Management regarding product non-conformances.
  • Be aware of the Company environmental, health & safety policies and comply with the objectives and required FDA training as it relates to the role.

What are we looking for?

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions with minimal oversight, prioritize and multi-task.
  • Strong data analysis, trending skills and strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn and perform various duties.
  • Demonstrated understanding of computer applications, systems and programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standard Quality guidelines and procedures.
  • Must be able to navigate work areas to include Rework, Make/Pack, and other areas of the Tobaccoville facility.
  • Ability to lift/position materials up to 40 lbs.

Beneficial

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, LIMS, VIDES, SAP, MES, Pilgrim, eMQS and SmartSolve.
  • General knowledge of TPMP requirements.
