PURPOSE STATEMENT

Planning, coordinating, supervising and reporting a team's business activities; to provide effective communication, to lead, to increase motivation, to provide training and development opportunities.


PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsibilities

  • Team management

  • Planning, managing and adjusting staffing levels to meet business needs

  • Managing daily activities to create a safe, clean and fair work environment for all team members

  • Provide team members with performance reviews, development and/or takeover planning as appropriate

  • Facilitating effective communication

  • Handling all disciplinary and dispute issues (complaints) according to HR policies

  • Preparation of Standard Operating Procedures, realization according to operational needs and ensuring its implementation

  • Ensuring that company policies are explained and implemented

  • Working in cooperation with other teams to maximize efficiency and implement practices in the best way possible

  • Emphasis on increasing productivity levels

  • Implementation of fast, agile, winning operations management

  • To comply with and act in accordance with quality systems and procedures in every transaction

  • Fulfilling written or verbal instructions from superiors

  • Managing the warehouses and team he is responsible for

  • Creating processes by analyzing the workflow processes well

  • Keeping these processes up to date and following the work according to these flows

  • Preparing required and requested reports and checking what has been done

  • Providing and receiving support from other units when necessary

  • Guiding the team in line with the loading and unloading plan

  • Strengthening relationships with the client's senior level

  • Working in a solution-oriented manner and generating new ideas for its development for the better functioning of the operation

  • Ensuring that the action plan is made on time and making the necessary organization

  • To ensure that the team works in line with the principles of occupational safety

  • Adjusting the current team's shifts

  • To determine the unit personnel structure

  • Planning of personnel working hours and conditions

  • Execution of personnel personnel transactions in accordance with HR

  • Managing personnel recruitment processes

  • Monitoring the personnel work flow processes and determining the missing aspects and creating training needs

  • Providing training to the personnel by coordinating with other units about the rules to be followed in the workplace

  • Managing daily reporting activities related to the work done

  • Creating a team that produces ideas and can report the ideas produced, and to follow and report the development processes

  • Determining the work schedule for the new week, planning the work to be done, creating work orders for the teams, depending on the factory production plan every week

  • To determine the positive and negative developments in the operation and to report them


SUSTAINABILITY

  • Be a role-model for safe and sustainable operations environment

  • Attend daily DDS and ensure proper drive of Safety DMS actions & drumbeat

  • Comply by all the Sustainability standards & rules and follow the instruction given by Sustainability team and managers

  • Ensure proper management of the checklists & controls, when needed

  • Ensure usage of necessary PPE

  • Report near misses and risks

  • Define the schedule and checklists for worksite inspections, and assess the type and level of safe activity for all or specific locations of warehouses

  • Define safety parameters and trigger CAPA for critical risks to investigate and address unwanted events, hazards and to facilitate change management

  • Assign roles and responsibilities, monitor the workflow and provide full visibility as the process moves through verification of effectiveness

  • Ensure a safe workplace for their employees

  • A document management process for regulatory reporting as well as a repository for historical data that is easy to access from any time, anywhere

  • Training management workflow to share the learnings with employees and make them partners in prevention and reporting

    • Pre-Use Inspection of forklifts and trucks

    • Fuel-Handling and Storage

    • Battery Handling and Storage

    • Maintenance


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Context / Environment

The jobholder reports to the Cell Manager and is responsible for:
Stores contain finished products, packaging materials, tobacco SKU. Responsible for managing the material flow between.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Technical Skills

  • Vocational School graduate, preferably university graduate

Communication

  • Have team management experience

Other

  • Able to keep up with flexible working hours in shifts

  • Preferably with SAP knowledge, Office knowledge

  • Able to work in shifts in the warehouse area

  • Preferably with at least 2-4 years of experience in warehouse, logistics and transportation management


KEY SUCCESS FACTORS / SUCCESS FACTORS

The most important metrics by which successful performance will be judged are:

  • Compliance to all BAT standards & procedures

  • Ensuring OTIF delivery of materials with forklift with full compliance to BAT storing and handling standards

  • Ensuring proper housekeeping of environment

  • Ensuring proper execution of IWS and SN Pillar relevant activities in SF

  • Timely reporting and escalation of issues to management

  • Number of near misses reported for self and team

  • Smooth communication between all stakeholders involved

  • Provide timely feedback on performance indicators to enable effective corrective action, improve visibility

  • Provide systems & procedures to effectively manage quality, waste, absenteeism & discipline

  • Keep close relationships: Internally with the Planning Department in order to provide and receive feedback on stock management


WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Internal

  • All Factory functions: Production, Planning, Factory Leadership team, etc.

  • All Commercial Functions: Finance, HR, Trade, Brand etc.

External

  • Logistics companies and Supplier for WH renovation / equipment firms.
