British American Tobacco Poland has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Manager in Augustow
As a Senior Quality Manager, you will contribute and drive the quality agenda of our multi category portfolio in Central Europe. Partnership and close engagement with Marketing, factory leadership teams and global Quality and Product functions is as important for this role as developing a strong quality talent pool are crucial success factors of this role.
The role is part of the Central Europe Operations Leadership Team and the Factory Leadership Team in Augustow.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Plan, coordinate and promote all quality activities to ensure full consumer satisfaction
- Identification and coaching of people with potential to grow in the quality function.
- Lead the development of the local quality strategy, to support and implement the Global strategy.
- To sponsor/chair a number of quality and product forums and hold regular meetings with team members to communicate monthly results, company news & changes, projects and discuss action plans for the next month
- Effectively manage budgets and department’s expenditures and ensure proper assets needs
- To ensure full compliance in all respects with local legislation and BAT standards, best practices and guidelines
- To develop and implement: best practices, common platforms, sharing experience/knowledge with other functions and factories within Operations.
- Manage the quality department in line with the Company strategy, to set objectives and targets to direct reports, manage their performance, to ensure plan targets are met and all functional tasks and projects delivered.
- Supervise and control the handling of customer/consumer complaints and Non-Conforming Products (NCP).
What are we looking for?
- Degree level in a science, applied science or engineering
- Thorough knowledge of Quality in the FMCG (Fast Mover Consumer Goods) business - (minimum 7-8 years)
- Broad understanding of Consumer centric quality management principles and Supply chain
- Strong influencing, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Broad understanding of PI&T and PM&H
- Working knowledge of SPC, ISO 9000, Six Sigma and CI tools
- Experience in working across multiple functions/projects is preferred
- Ability to adapt fast and self-develop
