British American Tobacco Sri Lanka has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Executive in Colombo
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Executive to join our Operations Team. This role plays a key part in driving loss elimination initiatives, with a strong focus on Wrapping Material Waste (WMW) monitoring and analysis. You will also support Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities through timely and accurate execution of SAP service receipt processes.
The ideal candidate is data-driven, systems-savvy, and committed to continuous improvement. In addition to technical responsibilities, the role actively supports Integrated Work System (IWS) standards and contributes to Phase progress by fostering a culture of capability building and sustainable performance
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
·Monitor, analyze, and report on Wrapping Material Waste (WMW) trends; identify key loss drivers in collaboration with line and area teams.
·Lead and support loss elimination initiatives related to WMW within the Loss Elimination pillar framework.
·Maintain and regularly update dashboards, trackers, and visual boards to ensure visibility and governance of WMW performance.
·Document and follow up on WMW-related action plans and results.
·Execute SAP service processes, particularly Goods Receipt (GR) postings for services within PM workflows.
·Collaborate with the PM team to ensure accurate service confirmations and closure of service orders in SAP.
·Participate in pillar reviews, audits, and governance routines to provide updates and share insights.
·Support adherence to IWS standards and best practices across relevant workstreams.
·Work closely with IWS pillar leaders to monitor progress and drive performance toward Phase progression.
·Contribute to training, documentation alignment, and assessments to support capability building across the team
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
·BSc in Engineering or any other equivalent qualification
·1 – 2 Years experience in manufacturing
·Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
·Outstanding communication skills, strong interpersonal, team building and negotiation skills
·Energetic, resilient, self-motivated, result-driven, highly adaptable, and able to work independently
·Effective Stakeholder engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
