BATHondurashas an exciting opportunity for a Legal & External Affairs Manager - San Pedro Sula
This position is key in the developing of the local strategy related with regulatory, tax, corporate issues. As well as the combat of illicit trade of our products and legal matters working and supported by the legal team. For this position is key the development and maintenance of a a key network to promote balance positions. Manage internal and external communications working close with the area communications team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Development and implementation of the engagement strategy to address on general corporate, tax, regulatory issues as well as AIT and legal issues that can impact the business taking into consideration the development of the company plan and business strategies.
- To ensure to have in place an early warning system of the developments in legislation and their impact on the operations in order to detect potential threats and, when possible, new commercial opportunities.
- Ensure the fluid exchange of communications, cooperation, and work with the team of Guatemala and El Salvador
- Co-ordinate and manage internal and external communications
- Work with the legal team in order to ensure compliance of local legislation as well as other legal/commercial requirements
What are we looking for?
- Proficiency in English
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Understanding of regulatory processes (both congressional and local authorities)
- Exceptional communication abilities
- Background in law or economics
- Experience in public relations, including stakeholder mapping and engagement
- At least 4 years of relevant professional experience
