BAT’s Digital Business Solutionshas an exciting opportunity for a Business Control Analystin Malaysia.
The Business Controls Analyst supports internal control advisory and assurance activities, including reporting findings and maintaining BAT’s Risk Management & Governance Framework (SAP GRC) master data and projects. Based in Kuala Lumpur, the analyst works within a global team dedicated to enhancing internal controls, enabling strategic objectives, and providing expertise in control design, monitoring, and audit reporting as part of BAT’s second Line of Defence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide support to BC team members and global stakeholders with SAP GRC master data requirements.
- Create and maintain GRC elements such as Controls and ad-hoc issues in alignment with compliance standards.
- Perform necessary setup prerequisites and ensure accurate configuration of master data.
- Validate and review data for completeness, consistency, and accuracy across systems.
- Collaborate proactively with solution teams to identify and resolve issues, including raising and tracking IT support tickets.
- Extract and analyze reports from SAP GRC, providing insights and recommendations based on data trends.
- Assisting in the delivery of the Three Lines of Defence model within the BAT Internal Controls Framework.
What are we looking for?
- Degree educated with relevant professional Internal Controls qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent, CIA, IIA, CISA)- either fully qualified or in progress of qualification
- 1+ years, risk internal controls or audit experience with significant accounting firm or corporate proven experience.
- Experience in global FMCG or similar dynamic international operating environment.
- Fluent in English
- Critical problem solving, interest in analysing business data with attention to detail
- Ability and willingness to learn fast from all business area and processes with impact on SOx controls
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate control issues, risk, impact and recommendations to management.
- Inclination to identify control gaps and provide recommendation to address the issues
Beneficial
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and GRC solutions
- Experience in internal or external audit, risk and compliance operation
Occupational Health and Safety responsibilities
- To correctly use the machines, devices, tools, hazardous substances, transport equipment and other production means;
- To refrain from decommissioning, changing or arbitrarily removing own security devices that mainly pertain to machines, facilities and to correctly use such devices;
- To immediately notify the employer and the assigned representative on any work situation that is proved to be hazardous for the health and safety of employees as well as on any deficiency in the protection systems;
- To acknowledge the manager and/or the employer regarding the incidents experienced;
- To cooperate with the employer and/or with the appointed representatives as long as it is necessary, in order to facilitate the enforcement of any measures or requirements imposed by labor and health inspectors, for employee health & security purposes;
- To cooperate, as long as it is necessary, with the employer and/or with the appointed representatives, in order to enable the employer to ensure that the work environment and conditions are safe and pose no risks to health & security, in the field of activity such is active in;
- To undertake and comply with the provisions of the legislation in terms of occupational health & safety and with the implementation measures thereof
The sheet for “Assessing the level of risk of occupational injury and disease per role” is drafted by a commission composed of individuals authorized in this regard and is acknowledged by the employee during the labor protection training sessions conducted upon hiring and recalled during the regular training sessions.
Detailed sheets shall be kept by the representative in charge with occupational health and safety matters and shall be public for all company’s employees.
