BAT’s Digital Business Solution has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Assistant Manager in Subang Jaya, Malaysia.
The role is part of GBS Corporate Finance Team. The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively drive the delivery of Total employment cost (TEC) and Admin Overheads (AOH) Key Performance Indicator in accordance with Accounting Standards and Governance Controls. The role includes delivering Half Year and Year End financial reporting while identifying Operational Efficiencies in key areas to achieve BAU results.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Ensuring adherence to IBPM process by completing monthly BPC planning for TEC and AOH OTIF.
- Ensuring that month end close activities, statutory and management financial reporting (actual financials) are performed on time and in compliance with SOX.
- Stakeholder management with budget holders to ensure timely analysis and update of TEC and AOH budgets for full year and half year tracking to deliver Key Performance Indicator OTIF.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in relation to TEC and AOH for local accounting standards and supports Corporate Finance Manager.
- Provide guidance to subordinates and steer the team to continuously deliver value and results
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification (i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) preferred.
- Possess a good understanding of group accounting principles – ability to identify accounting issues
- Able to identify process and reporting improvements and proactively implement solutions.
- Have a collaborative and flexible style. Able to influence collaborators to achieve desired outcomes.
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills to support key collaborators.
- Maintains excellent working relationships with all collaborators and is a great teammate.
- Has the ability to prioritise and manage own workload, is resilient and open to challenges.
- Able and willing to provide guidance to subordinates, strong leadership traits and capability.
- Calm under pressure, knows when to bring up matters, demonstrates a high degree of motivation and regulation. Demonstrates an organised and structured approach.
- Experience of working in an external audit industry a distinct advantage.
